Important Notes:
This amplifier board is a combination of digital amplifier and switch-mode power supply.
- AC N and AC L Power Input: Accepts AC voltage between 210-230V. Do not exceed this voltage range. It can be changed to 110V and cannot be used again with 220V power supply.
- Voltage Configuration: For AC100-115V operation, connect any pin of CP3 to any pin of CP4. For AC200-240V operation, leave CP3 and CP4 open.
- P1 Two-Pin Connector: Outputs 24V DC for powering a 24V fan. Ensure correct polarity when connecting the fan. Shorting the fan connector can cause malfunction.
- Heat Dissipation: The amplifier generates significant heat and requires active cooling even when no-load. In addition to the heatsink, other heat-generating components such as transformers, output inductors, large resistors, capacitors, and bridge rectifiers also need airflow from the fan. It is recommended to direct the fan airflow from the amplifier section towards the power supply section.
- Output Connectors: There are four terminals, with two being parallel connections. Either terminal can be used to connect speakers (SPK-SPK). Supports speakers with impedance between 4-8 ohms. Do not use speakers with an impedance lower than 4 ohms, as this can trigger protection mechanisms and cause the amplifier to pause.
- P2 Auxiliary Power Connector: Provides /-15V DC output with a current capacity of 500mA, exclusively for the preamp board. Do not overload or use this connector for input voltage.
- Signal Input at P2: 'G' stands for ground (signal input negative), and 'in' represents the signal input positive. Ensure correct polarity. The maximum input signal should not exceed 1.5V, as higher levels can overload the amplifier and cause damage.
- Signal Cable: Use shielded cables to prevent interference. Always connect both the signal input and ground to avoid self-oscillation and potential damage. Avoid hot-plugging signal inputs and do not connect mobile phone signals.
- Cable Management: High-voltage AC power lines must not be bundled with low-voltage cables. Keep AC input, signal input, auxiliary power /-15V output, and speaker output lines separate.
- Avoid Bundling Signal and Speaker Cables: This can cause high-frequency self-oscillation and damage the amplifier.
- Safety with Switch-Mode Power Supply:Be aware that the switch-mode power supply carries high voltage. Do not touch high-voltage parts while powered on.
- D12 Indicator: If the red light is on, it indicates a short circuit in the amplifier section, possibly due to a shorted fan or preamp power supply, or a damaged amplifier.
- Thermal Protection:If the heatsink temperature exceeds 85°C, the amplifier will automatically shut down to protect itself. It will restart once the temperature drops
