The team made every effort to build the C-2860/C-2860 Plus preamp after careful consideration and consideration of various market needs, combined with their 30 years of design experience, referring to the same model of the original Japanese Accuphase machine, using imported components, optimizing the parameters of the circuit, making it sound better than the original Accuphase preamp at and striving to create a super-quality HI-END preamplifier.

The chassis adopts all-aluminum alloy CNC precision machining, Miaosi has its own hardware factory department, high-end platform group machining center and numerical control more than a dozen units, and the wire drawing and sandblasting workshop independently matches itself, just to make good products, so our product quality is guaranteed.
It features a genuine, imported transformer from Japan, ensuring a level of quality and reliability that typical DIY units cannot match. For pristine performance, the transformer is housed within a metal cover for shielding, epoxy-potted to reduce vibration, and sealed to effectively prevent stray magnetic fields. The details make all the difference.

This preamplifier is built with a massive power supply filtering stage, featuring six genuine, audio-grade ELNA capacitors imported directly from Japan. This brings the total capacitance to an impressive 60,000µF.
This substantial power reservoir is the foundation for the preamplifier's powerful, authoritative, and dynamic output. In audio design, insufficient capacitance can lead to a sound that is weak, soft, and lacks clarity; our over-specified design ensures rock-solid performance at all times.

We believe the power supply is the absolute top priority in any audio system. If the power supply isn't done right, nothing else matters. To achieve truly great sound, one must begin with the power source. That is why we use two high-quality, imported Japanese EI-core power transformers in each unit. Our unique design and novel connection methods ensure the transformers are completely silent, without any vibration or hum—you won't hear a thing even with your ear pressed against the chassis. This is how a truly great transformer should perform.
To make the sound even purer, we focused our efforts starting from the rectification stage. We employ a series-type rectifier circuit using fast-recovery diodes, a method that can be seen in high-end Marantz amplifiers and has its roots in designs from Mark Levinson. Following this, the power is filtered by six 10,000µF / 50V Japanese ELNA AUDIO capacitors, for a massive total capacitance of 60,000µF. This is more than enough even for a power amplifier. We take this cost-no-object approach for one reason only: to give audiophiles an honest, genuinely good sound, without deception or hype.
A preamplifier's purpose is to amplify very weak, small signals. Therefore, the power supply must be perfectly stable and free of fluctuations, which makes adding a regulated power supply stage essential. The original Accuphase machine did not include this, and neither do similar products on the market. To truly surpass a classic, one must have a deeper understanding and a unique vision; otherwise, you will forever live in its shadow. They are already the benchmark, so how can a so-called "identical clone" ever hope to be better? This is not a viable path, especially as technology continues to advance.
Regulated power supplies vary greatly in quality, and the sonic differences can be night and day. We experimented with over ten different regulator designs, finally selecting a high-precision circuit with a balanced, authoritative, and musically engaging sound to power our C-2860 Plus. This decision was finalized after several months of painstaking adjustments and comparisons—a long and tiring process.
However, the result is a sound from our C-2860 Plus that is far beyond what the original Accuphase C-245 can compare to. It is no exaggeration to say that the C-2860 is a true, modern upgrade to the C-245.

The left and right channel modules are made to be exactly the same, but the selection of parts and the matching of tubes are extremely important for the stability of the entire machine. We guarantee that the tubes are genuine imported stock, not domestic or fake products—this is our personal guarantee. The amplifier boards we tune have a DC offset of zero, and the quiescent current of each stage is carefully calibrated to be identical for both channels.
This results in precise sound localization, a vast soundstage, and a background that is deep, clean, and easy to listen to. This is the Accuphase style.
