The A60+ board is an improved version of the previously successfully designed A60. The number of output transistors has been increased
(each channel can support up to 16 pairs (32 pieces) of power transistors),
providing better driving force and the ability to be adjusted to Class A operation. The rectification section has also been enhanced with 120A low internal resistance, high-speed transistors for superior dynamics.
The original Accuphase A60 was a flagship model of its generation, renowned for its excellent density in both high and low frequencies, superb control, and outstanding detail and layering. The circuit features a fully symmetrical architecture with current feedback. The main characteristic of this circuit
is that it employs complementary push-pull configurations from the input stage all the way to the output stage, easily achieving a slew rate of several hundred volts per microsecond. It offers excellent driving capability for capacitive loads,
and the sound quality surpasses that of the previous A2.


Paired with Toshiba 2SC5200/A1943 transistors: Offers a warm, tube-like character, refined detail, and a full-bodied, slightly dark tonality.
Paired with ON Semiconductor power transistors: Delivers a bright and lively sound, excellent layering and harmonic overtones, with a strong sense of rhythm.
Paired with Japanese Sanken power transistors: Provides deep bass extension, strong dynamics, and solid, powerful low frequencies.


Based on personal comparisons, thanks to the excellent circuit architecture and the use of Hi-Fi transistors like the 2SC2240,
2SA970, 2SA2705, 2SA114 matched pairs, with output transistors being ON Semiconductor's MJL15032/MJL15033, and countless refinements to the circuit parameters, this board outperforms amplifiers like the KSA50 or clones of Goldmund designs in terms of bass performance, the sweet and smooth character of vocals, and the transparency of the highs.


The board includes an integrated rectifier circuit, so you only need to connect a transformer; no external rectifier board is required. Wiring and installation are very convenient. The fully symmetrical architecture combined with precise transistor matching ensures the output DC offset is very stable without requiring adjustment.
Adjust the quiescent current of the power transistors to 50-100mA per transistor. The board has one TEST point; the voltage drop across its two terminals should measure 20-30mV.
Important Note: Remember to install mica insulators when mounting the power transistors, and the mica must be fully coated with thermal compound.

Standard circuit resistors are Philips resistors.
The driver transistors are ON Semiconductor's premium NJE15034/35. The power output stage can be configured with up to 6 pairs of Toshiba 2SC5200/A1943, or 4 pairs of Sanken transistors. Of course, ON Semiconductor transistors can also be used.
