【Components Description】
- Power transformer (Model: ZL865004) made with high-quality domestic annealed silicon steel sheets and oxygen-free copper enameled wire, rated at a full 120W. It offers ample power margin and extremely low temperature rise. Mounted horizontally, finished in blue wrinkle paint, it remains slightly warm without vibration and provides excellent shielding.
- Upgraded pure gold-plated copper terminals—our plating is durable and won’t flake off after a few uses.
- Volume knob is a solid 25mm aluminum knob with a dial; power switch is a high-quality 10A/250V copper-shaft silver-contact switch.
- All amplifiers sold in our store are genuine pure tube amplifiers, using output transformer coupling between tubes and speakers. Experts know that the output transformer is crucial for the classic "tube sound." This is not comparable to hybrid or fake tube amps where tubes are merely decorative!
- The transformers are arranged in a non-parallel layout to minimize interference, ensuring a high signal-to-noise ratio.
- Output transformers use a 3+2 winding method with oxygen-free copper wire and cores made of new Japanese Kawasaki Z11 silicon steel sheets (0.35mm thick, Model: 0P764002). Z11 cores offer higher permeability and improved low-frequency performance, far superior to domestic H14 or H18 silicon steel.
- Output transformer power capacity is a full 10W with ample margin, wound with oxygen-free copper.
- Choke inductor: 66×28, 10H 0.2A, wound with oxygen-free copper wire.
- All components are hand-wired point-to-point (hand-soldered), making future upgrades and modifications easy.
- Chassis dimensions: 35.5cm (width) × 27.5cm (depth) × 17.5cm (height). Compact and flat proportions, solid and stable (11.7kg weight), with a retro Western Electric style. - Filtering uses Japanese and Korean high-end electrolytic capacitors, combined with high-power metal oxide film resistors and a 10H 0.2A filter choke, forming a C-L-R-C filter network that effectively suppresses AC hum (residual noise approx. 2–3mV).
- Gold-plated copper ceramic tube sockets ensure reliable and durable contact.
- Coupling capacitors are Japanese Tokyo Electronics TEMKP audio-grade capacitors, delivering rich and detailed sound with delicate highs.
- Rubycon audio-grade electrolytic capacitors are used for the 6P14 cathode.
- Volume control is via a high-quality Japanese ALPS 100k dual potentiometer, offering moderate damping and no rotation noise.
Rated Output Power: 3.8W + 3.8W (Due to vacuum tubes' strong overload capability, the actual undistorted output is comparable to a 20W + 20W transistor amplifier!)
The amplifier supports both 4Ω and 8Ω output impedance. It is best paired with high-sensitivity bookshelf speakers—recommended sensitivity 88dB or higher. Since all stages operate in Class A, the amplifier delivers low distortion, sweet and gentle sound, and excellent listening endurance.
