Note: When testing the machine, it must be connected to a speaker. Testing under no-load conditions can easily burn out the transformer or vacuum tubes (tubes may glow red). Damage from such causes is not covered under warranty.
The 6P14 is a power output tube commonly used in vintage tube radios, delivering a rich and mellow sound. Savor its tone, and nostalgic feelings will naturally arise. It is especially suitable for those who appreciate vocal-focused music.
This machine offers two package options: the preamp tube can be either 6N11 or 12AX7. The 6N11 can be directly replaced with 6DJ8, ECC88, 6922, or 6H23; the 12AX7 can be directly replaced with ECC83, 5751, or 7025; the 6P14 can be directly replaced with EL84 or 6BQ5; the 5Z4P can be directly replaced with 5AR4, 5U4G, 5Z3P, or GZ34.

[Materials and Construction Details]
- Features a domestically produced, high-quality annealed silicon steel sheet and oxygen-free copper enameled wire wound into a full-power 120W EI transformer (model ZL865003). With ample power headroom and extremely low temperature rise, it remains cool and vibration-free. Installed horizontally, the purple-gold wrinkle-finish top cover is a work of art.
- Upgraded pure gold-plated copper terminals; our plating is durable and does not flake off after a few uses. The volume knob is a 34mm aluminum-clad plastic knob, and the power switch is a high-quality 2A 250V stainless steel angel-eye illuminated switch.
- All machines sold in our store are genuine pure tube amplifiers, employing output transformer coupling between the tubes and speakers. Experts know that the output transformer is crucial for the characteristic tube sound. This is not comparable to hybrid amplifiers or fake tube amps where tubes are merely decorative. A genuine tube amplifier requires three transformers (the large one is the power transformer, and the two smaller ones are output transformers). The non-parallel layout minimizes interference between transformers, ensuring a high signal-to-noise ratio. The output transformers are wound using a 3-section, 2-layer method, with cores made from brand-new 0.35mm thick Japanese Kawasaki Z11 silicon steel sheets. Z11 sheets offer higher magnetic permeability, resulting in deeper bass and superior performance compared to domestic H14 or H18 silicon steel sheets. The output transformer (model OP663501) provides a full 7W of power with ample headroom.
- All components are hand-soldered point-to-point, facilitating future upgrades and modifications.
- The chassis is made of solid ash wood (a medium-hardness wood, much harder and more expensive than fir or pine). Finished with clear varnish to preserve the wood's natural color, the wood is dried to prevent cracking and undergoes multiple sanding, polishing, and painting steps, resulting in rich grain patterns and a simple, elegant appearance. Each unit is truly one-of-a-kind. The top panel is 1.5mm thick stainless steel, and the bottom plate is 1mm thick perforated painted steel mesh. Metal panels help block stray interference. The chassis is moderately sized (30cm wide, 20cm deep, 13cm high) with a low-profile, sturdy design (5kg), exuding a quiet, substantial presence. It is ideal as a desktop audio system or for upgrading computer audio. The interior has extra space for larger oil-filled capacitors or circuit modifications.
- Components used include: brand-new Shu Guang 5Z4P x1, Shu Guang EL84 x2, and Beijing 6N11-J x1, all J-grade products. Filtering uses one PHILIPS 150uF capacitor and two Ai Hua 22uF/400V capacitors, combined with high-power metal oxide film resistors in a CRC network for strong suppression of AC hum (noise floor approximately 2-3mV).

- Coupling and decoupling capacitors use Hong Kong TE MKP audiophile-grade capacitors, delivering rich, mellow sound and delicate highs. The 6P14 cathode capacitor is a Japanese Rubycon audio-specific 220uF/35V electrolytic. Volume control is handled by a high-quality Japanese ALPS 100k dual potentiometer, offering moderate damping and no rotation noise.
- Rated output power: 3.8W + 3.8W (Due to the strong overload capability of vacuum tubes, the actual undistorted output power is comparable to a 20W + 20W transistor amplifier.)
- This unit offers two output impedance options: 4 ohms and 8 ohms. It is best paired with high-sensitivity bookshelf speakers. Since all tube stages operate in Class A, distortion is low, and the sound is sweet, smooth, and highly listenable.
- For safe shipping, we use reinforced packaging, and tubes are packaged separately. You will need to install the tubes upon receipt.
